Guest Coach Pete Wynn
Pete Winn is a highly accomplished coach and sports development leader with over 37 years of experience across ice and inline hockey. He began his coaching career in the UK senior leagues, where he became a semi-professional coach and led teams to eight national championships. Transitioning into youth hockey, Peter developed regional programmes from grassroots “learn to play” initiatives to elite-level pathways, attending multiple IIHF high-performance camps across Europe to refine his approach.
Internationally, Peter served as Head Coach for England’s U15, U17, and U19 teams and was selected to represent Great Britain at the IIHF Junior World Championships with the U18s. He was later appointed Head Coach of the BISHA GB programme, where he guided the team to a historic gold medal at the IISHF U19 European Championships in 2022, followed by a bronze medal in 2023, marking a new era of success for British inline hockey.
Peter is also a seasoned coach educator, delivering IIHF Level 1 and 2 courses and national coaching qualifications. His leadership was recognized with his promotion to General manager of Coaching for the England Ice Hockey education programme. As the founder of Advanced Hockey Development UK (AHDUK), he runs coaching clinics and camps across the UK and has successfully transitioned into inline hockey, establishing the AHDUK Dodgers Ice and Inline Hockey Academy, which continues to develop top-tier talent across both disciplines.
